Clinical Resource Nurse – NICU

About the role

The Clinical Resource Nurse – NICU provides expert clinical guidance and support to neonatal intensive care nurses, ensuring safe, evidence‑based care for critically ill newborns at Fakeeh University Hospital.

Key responsibilities

• Provide bedside clinical guidance for NICU nurses managing complex neonatal cases and emergencies.
• Act as a resource for advanced procedures, evidence‑based practice implementation and quality initiatives.
• Identify learning needs, deliver competency assessments, bedside coaching and clinical training.
• Monitor compliance with infection‑prevention, patient‑safety, documentation and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, allied health professionals and nursing leadership to optimise patient outcomes.
• Support audits, quality‑improvement projects, incident reviews and continuous professional development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent.
• Valid DHA licence or eligibility.
• Minimum 5 years of NICU experience.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor, consult and lead clinical teams.
