About the role
Emirates NBD is seeking a Collections Officer to join its Collections department. The role focuses on managing and recovering overdue accounts across personal loans, credit cards, and auto loans, ensuring targets are met while maintaining compliance with UAE Central Bank regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Contact customers via phone, email, or other channels to follow up on outstanding payments.
- Negotiate payment plans and secure timely collections to reduce delinquency.
- Update customer records with accurate collection status.
- Coordinate with internal departments to resolve queries and disputes.
- Monitor daily collections performance and report results to management.
- Ensure all collection activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare final settlement proposals based on customer circumstances such as job loss or medical conditions.
- Maintain customer satisfaction scores in line with benchmarks.
Required profile
- Experience in collections or debt recovery within a banking environment.
- Knowledge of UAE Central Bank regulations and bank collection policies.
- Ability to achieve individual targets for resolution and cash collection.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Detail‑oriented with a focus on accurate record‑keeping.
