Colour Matcher – Plastics & Masterbatch Manufacturing

About the role

Our client, a leader in plastics and masterbatch manufacturing, is looking for a Colour Matcher to develop high‑quality colour masterbatch solutions. The role involves colour matching, formulation development, laboratory testing and ensuring colour consistency across products while working closely with production, technical and commercial teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and match colours based on customer samples, specifications and reference standards, ensuring accurate and repeatable formulations.
• Prepare and evaluate laboratory masterbatch samples for colour accuracy, pigment dispersion, processing performance and product quality.
• Provide technical support during manufacturing scale‑up activities and troubleshoot colour, quality or processing issues.
• Maintain formulation records, laboratory test data and sample libraries while complying with quality and regulatory requirements.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives focused on formulation optimisation, cost reduction, product quality enhancement and sustainability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Material Science or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in colour matching, pigment dispersion, polymer compounding or masterbatch manufacturing within plastics, coatings or related industries.
• Strong knowledge of pigments, additives and polymer carriers (PE, PP, PET, PS) with hands‑on experience using spectrophotometers, twin‑screw extruders and injection moulding machines.
