Commercial & Pricing Coordinator – Air Freight

About the role

We are seeking a Commercial & Pricing Coordinator with a focus on air freight to join our expanding team in Dubai. The role is pivotal in shaping competitive pricing, negotiating rates, and supporting the overall logistics strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement pricing strategies aligned with market trends and company objectives.
• Maintain and update the pricing database to ensure accurate rate information.
• Negotiate rates with carriers, suppliers and vendors while safeguarding service quality and profitability.
• Prepare and analyse air freight and road freight quotations, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and profit margins.
• Manage contracts with customers, carriers and suppliers, forecasting revenue and market share.
• Monitor air‑freight market dynamics, competitor pricing and identify opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, carriers and agents.
• Collaborate with sales, operations and finance teams to align pricing with customer needs.
• Control shipment costs through financial job closing and prevent unapproved expenses.
• Document pricing agreements and generate regular reports for management.
• Identify process inefficiencies and implement cost‑saving improvements.

Required profile

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in commerce, accounting, finance or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of pricing or commercial experience in air freight or freight forwarding.
• Strong negotiation, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
• Knowledge of international trade regulations and UAE customs is advantageous.
• Ability to work under pressure in a multicultural, fast‑paced environment.
