Commis 3 – Kitchen Assistant (Full-Time)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Commis 3 to join our Food & Beverage team at The Luxury Collection in Dubai. The role involves supporting the kitchen by preparing ingredients, cooking under supervision, and maintaining a clean work environment. This is a full‑time, on‑site position in a high‑end hospitality setting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, and storing fresh produce.
• Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes.
• Cook and present food following quality, presentation, and safety standards.
• Prepare cold foods and assemble dishes.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers safely.
• Test foods for doneness and monitor overall food quality.
• Set up and break down work stations and serve food in proper portions.
• Clean and disinfect kitchen areas, tools, knives, and equipment.
• Check and maintain correct temperatures for appliances and food.
• Follow all company safety, security, and hygiene policies; report any issues.
• Maintain a professional appearance and protect confidential information.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related kitchen or food‑preparation experience.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift and carry objects up to 25 lb.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Willingness to complete safety training and certifications.
