Commis Chef – Dubai

About the role

The Commis Chef will join the culinary team at Hyatt Centric Jumeirah Dubai, supporting the preparation of high‑quality dishes that reflect the Hyatt brand standards. Working closely with the Chef de Partie, you will help maintain smooth kitchen operations and deliver memorable guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present food items according to Hyatt recipes and presentation guidelines.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
• Support daily kitchen workflow, ensuring efficiency within the assigned section.
• Accommodate special guest requests while preserving quality and standards.
• Uphold food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and HACCP standards in all handling and preparation activities.
• Minimise food waste and contribute to departmental food‑cost targets.
• Keep workstations, equipment, and storage areas clean, organized, and sanitary.
• Collaborate with colleagues across departments, embodying the “We work through Teams” spirit.

Required profile

• Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or a related field (preferred).
• Previous experience in a similar role within a hotel, restaurant, or hospitality environment is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen operations, and menu execution.
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
