Commis Chef – Hospitality Operations

About the role

The Commis Chef supports the Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations, ensuring high‑quality food preparation and presentation that meet brand standards. This entry‑level position is based in Dubai and focuses on delivering consistent, safe, and delicious meals for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare menu items according to recipes and brand guidelines.
• Identify and report any stock, MEP, or equipment issues promptly.
• Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and HACCP food‑hygiene regulations.
• Keep kitchen and operating equipment clean and in good condition.
• Ensure proper storage, rotation, and FIFO handling of goods.
• Assist with venue timing coordination and post‑service clean‑up.

Required profile

• Certificate, course or diploma in hospitality or culinary arts.
• Strong commitment to delivering exceptional quality and service.
• Professional appearance and communication style.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced kitchen environment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of HACCP food safety standards.
• Understanding of FIFO inventory management.
