Commis Pastry Chef – Luxury Club

About the role

The Arts Club Dubai is seeking a talented artisan to join its passionate culinary team. As a Commis Pastry Chef you will support the pastry and bakery sections, ensuring high‑quality products that delight members.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook pastry and bakery items daily under the senior chef’s direction, maintaining consistency, quality and presentation.
• Maintain sufficient stock levels to ensure uninterrupted service while adhering to recipe quantities.
• Keep kitchen and food preparation areas clean and orderly when unattended.
• Handle and perform basic maintenance of all kitchen equipment and tools.
• Follow hygiene, stock rotation, dating, storage, temperature control, pest control and reporting procedures as required by law.
• Minimise waste and over‑production by managing mise‑en‑place and ordering supplies efficiently.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role within luxury hotels or fine‑dining establishments.
• Internationally recognised professional pastry certification.
• Excellent command of English.
• Strong organisational and time‑management abilities with high flexibility.
• Effective team management, communication and listening skills.
• Demonstrated integrity, confidentiality and professionalism.
• Ability to work long shifts and stand for extended periods.
