Commissioning Electrical Supervisor

About the role

The Commissioning Electrical Supervisor leads the electrical commissioning activities for the Hail & Ghasha project in Ruwais, Abu Dhabi. Reporting to the Commissioning Electrical Superintendent, the role ensures all electrical systems are commissioned safely, on schedule, and to quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed pre‑commissioning procedures and functional test plans for electrical packages.
• Perform field checks, prepare punch lists, and verify compliance with design and safety requirements.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractor teams, ensuring adherence to plant safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate logbooks and progress records, applying corrective actions as needed.
• Supervise substation power‑on, motor runs, and lock‑out/tag‑out activities.
• Support vendor specialists, oversee their work, and ensure proper utilization.
• Execute interlock, logic, and sequence tests on MCC panels and operate starters under approved permits.
• Prepare and sign off certification documents for client hand‑over.

Required profile

• University degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 10‑12 years of experience on EPC oil & gas or refinery projects, preferably in a supervisory commissioning role.
• Strong leadership, decision‑making under pressure, and effective communication skills.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
