Communications Lead – MENAT+

About the role

Spotify is seeking a culturally fluent, strategically sharp, and creative Communications Lead to shape and share the brand story across the MENAT+ region (Middle East, North Africa, Türkiye, and Pakistan). Reporting to the Head of Communications, SAMEA, you will partner with regional leadership and global communications teams to strengthen Spotify’s reputation and champion regional creators.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute an integrated communications strategy for MENAT+, placing creators, audiences, and culture at the core of storytelling.
• Serve as a trusted communications advisor to regional leaders, providing counsel on business priorities, reputation risks, and high‑impact moments.
• Identify reputational opportunities and risks, guiding thoughtful responses to evolving cultural, media, policy, and regulatory dynamics.
• Lead creator‑first and earned‑media storytelling that builds fandom, discovery, and cultural relevance.
• Collaborate with Music, Podcasts, Product, Growth, Marketing, Public Affairs, and other teams to align communications with regional priorities.
• Bridge MENAT+ perspectives with Spotify’s global communications strategy, translating global messages for local audiences.
• Oversee corporate, executive, internal, and B2B communications, including executive positioning, thought leadership, and media engagement.
• Manage agency relationships and budgets, ensuring high‑quality, locally relevant output across a diverse geographic footprint.

Required profile

• 10+ years of communications experience, leading integrated work across consumer, corporate, reputation, and policy domains.
• Deep understanding of the media, cultural, and creator landscape in MENA, Türkiye, Pakistan, or adjacent markets.
• Strategic thinker and adaptable storyteller capable of working across earned media, executive communications, influencer engagement, and integrated channels.
• Ability to translate policy, regulatory, political, and cultural developments into actionable communications advice.
• Fluent in English and Arabic and/or Turkish, with strong communication skills for diverse regional audiences.
