Compliance Manager

About the role

The Compliance Manager will lead the AML and regulatory compliance function for a financial institution in the UAE, ensuring strict adherence to local laws and international standards. This senior position oversees a team, drives policy updates, and acts as the primary liaison with the UAE Central Bank.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the compliance team, providing guidance, performance reviews and training.
• Report suspicious transactions to the UAE Central Bank via Go AML and submit FATCA, CRS and other regulatory data on schedule.
• Prepare and file AML/Compliance reports, including Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs), to authorities and senior management.
• Review new products for compliance, update AML policies, and ensure KYC, FATCA and CRS verification before account activation.
• Maintain private blacklists, assess sanctions risk, and monitor high‑risk transactions and accounts.
• Handle law‑enforcement information requests, Search & Freeze Notices, and approve or reject high‑risk transactions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration or related field.
• CAMs or equivalent certification.
• Minimum 6 years of compliance experience in banking or finance, with proven team‑leadership experience.
• Deep knowledge of UAE Central Bank regulations, AML, KYC, FATCA and CRS requirements.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Go AML compliance platform.
