Compliance Officer (Emirati) – Dubai

About the role

We are looking for a proactive, detail‑oriented Compliance Officer to join a leading business in Dubai. The role ensures that the organisation operates in line with all applicable laws, regulations and internal policies while fostering a strong compliance culture across the company.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations and internal policies.
• Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on business operations.
• Develop, implement and maintain compliance policies and procedures.
• Conduct compliance monitoring reviews and identify improvement opportunities.
• Provide guidance to employees on compliance matters and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with internal investigations and support resolution of compliance issues.
• Maintain compliance registers, records and documentation.
• Prepare compliance reports for senior management and regulators as required.
• Support internal and external audits by supplying relevant documentation.
• Deliver compliance training and promote awareness throughout the organisation.
• Collaborate with Risk, Legal, HR and other functions to ensure effective governance.
• Escalate any compliance breaches or regulatory concerns appropriately.

Required profile

• Emirati national.
• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management or a related discipline.
• 2–5 years of experience in compliance, risk, governance, internal controls or regulatory affairs.
• Good understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance best practices.

Required skills

• Knowledge of AML, KYC and sanctions screening principles.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements.
