Construction Disputes Associate Lawyer (NQ–3 PQE) – Dubai

About the role

We are seeking a Construction Disputes Associate Lawyer (NQ–3 PQE) to join a leading international law firm’s busy Middle‑East practice in Dubai. The role offers the chance to develop specialist expertise across high‑value construction and infrastructure disputes throughout the UAE, Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC.

Key responsibilities

• Assist on international arbitration and construction‑related litigation matters.
• Handle disputes involving major infrastructure, energy, utilities and real‑estate projects.
• Manage claims relating to delay, disruption, variations, defects, extensions of time, payment and termination.
• Work with FIDIC and other standard or bespoke construction contracts.
• Draft pleadings, submissions and dispute correspondence.
• Collaborate closely with technical, delay and quantum experts.
• Support regional projects involving developers, employers, contractors and other participants.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with NQ–3 years post‑qualification experience.
• Relevant contentious construction or international arbitration experience gained at a Legal 500‑ranked UK, international or strong regional firm.
• Clear interest in specialising in construction disputes.
• Open to candidates based in the Middle East or UK‑qualified lawyers willing to relocate to Dubai.

Required skills

• Knowledge of FIDIC and other construction contract frameworks.
• Understanding of arbitration and litigation procedures in construction disputes.
