Construction Lead - Offshore

About the role

Penspen is seeking an experienced Construction Lead to oversee offshore construction activities for oil & gas projects in Abu Dhabi. The role involves directing site execution, managing contractors, and ensuring strict HSE and quality compliance while delivering projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise offshore construction in line with project specifications, HSE requirements, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, fabrication, and offshore teams for efficient execution.
• Manage contractors and subcontractors, ensuring safe, on‑time, and cost‑effective delivery.
• Review construction procedures, method statements, work packs, and mechanical completion documents.
• Monitor progress, resolve technical issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and offshore regulations.
• Support pre‑commissioning, commissioning, and handover activities.
• Prepare construction reports and provide regular updates to project management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 15–18+ years of experience in oil & gas construction, with at least 5 years in a lead role.
• Minimum 5 years of offshore experience (mandatory).
• Strong knowledge of offshore process and utility systems.
• Familiarity with international standards; experience on PMC and EPC offshore projects preferred.
• Prior experience on ADNOC projects is an advantage.
