Construction Manager – Civil & Underground Infrastructure

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Construction Manager to lead civil and underground infrastructure works for a major oil & gas topside installation on an artificial island. The role oversees execution, safety, quality and schedule for complex land‑based works such as piling, foundations, trenching and utility installation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all onsite construction activities related to civil and underground infrastructure.
• Manage execution in line with project schedules, specifications, drawings and HSE requirements.
• Coordinate daily activities of contractors, subcontractors, consultants and site supervision teams.
• Deploy manpower, equipment and materials efficiently.
• Supervise piling, deep foundations, excavation, trenching and underground utility installations.
• Review and monitor construction schedules, recovery plans and interface coordination between civil, MEP and utility packages.
• Participate in constructability reviews and work sequencing.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, method statements, ITPs and local regulations.
• Promote a strong HSE culture, conduct risk assessments and toolbox talks.
• Track productivity, prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 20 + years of experience, including 12–15 years in large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• At least 5 + years of offshore experience (mandatory).
• Proven track record managing civil and underground utility works on major developments.
• Experience in the Middle East/GCC region is an advantage.
• Strong leadership, team management and stakeholder coordination skills.
