Construction Manager – Lead Complex Projects

About the role

BUTEC is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead complex construction projects in Abu Dhabi. You will be responsible for optimizing resources, mentoring engineers, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager and planning engineer with project planning and schedule updates.
• Review and verify drawings, specifications, method statements, and material data sheets.
• Identify design issues and documentation discrepancies, recommending corrective actions.
• Define and organize work fronts, prioritize on‑site activities, and direct the construction team.
• Set, monitor, and adjust productivity rates and operational targets.
• Forecast and secure required resources (people, materials, equipment, tools).
• Supervise daily execution of work, coordinate with the quality team, and review QA/QC reports.
• Lead regular meetings to resolve deficiencies and ensure compliance with designs and standards.
• Investigate damages, incidents, or delays and develop mitigation plans.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably in substation projects.
• Proven expertise in site supervision, site management, risk assessment, and project management.
• Fluent Arabic and conversational English.
