Construction Section Head - Mechanical

About the role

We are constantly growing and are currently looking for a Construction Section Head – Mechanical to join a top‑qualified and knowledgeable construction team within our Oil, Gas and Chemicals Division. This senior position will lead all mechanical construction activities on complex EPC projects and ensure they are delivered safely, on schedule and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage all mechanical construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, approved plans and schedules.
• Coordinate daily operations with engineering, QA/QC, HSE, planning, procurement, commissioning and other disciplines.
• Secure timely availability of manpower, materials, equipment and other resources.
• Identify construction issues and implement corrective actions to maintain project progress.
• Review and approve method statements, risk assessments, work procedures and execution plans.
• Monitor construction progress against the approved schedule and take corrective measures to meet milestones.
• Supervise subcontractors to achieve quality, productivity, safety and schedule targets.
• Ensure strict implementation of the Permit‑to‑Work system and compliance with ADNOC standards, international codes and HSE regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in oil & gas or EPC construction projects.
• At least 5 years in a senior supervisory or Construction Section Head role.
• Strong background in piping, rotating and static equipment.
• Proven experience on ADNOC or major GCC oil & gas projects.
• Extensive knowledge of construction sequencing, site execution strategies and productivity management.
• Excellent understanding of ADNOC standards, international codes, HSE regulations and Permit‑to‑Work systems.
• Strong leadership, coordination and problem‑solving abilities.
