Construction Superintendent

About the role

Worley is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead on‑site construction activities for oil & gas or petrochemical projects. The role ensures safe, efficient execution of works in line with approved drawings, specifications and project schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities across multiple disciplines.
• Verify that work follows IFC drawings, method statements, ITPs, procedures and applicable codes.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, engineering, QA/QC, HSE, planning and commissioning teams.
• Monitor progress against schedule, identify delays and propose recovery actions.
• Conduct site inspections, enforce HSE requirements and safe work practices.
• Review contractor plans, manpower, equipment and resource needs.
• Support QA/QC implementation, resolve NCRs, punch items and technical queries.
• Prepare and deliver regular progress reports to project management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent from an accredited university.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in the oil & gas or petrochemical industry (12 years for UAE nationals).
• Proven experience supervising large‑scale construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction codes, standards and contract requirements.

Required skills

• Interpretation of IFC drawings and specifications.
• Implementation of QA/QC procedures.
• HSE compliance and risk assessment.
• Project scheduling and progress monitoring.
