Construction Superintendent (Manager II)

About the role

Worley is seeking a Construction Superintendent (Manager II) to lead on‑site construction activities in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities across assigned work areas and disciplines.
• Ensure work complies with IFC drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs, procedures, and relevant codes.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, engineering, QA/QC, HSE, planning, commissioning, and other project teams.
• Monitor progress against the schedule, identify delays, and propose recovery actions.
• Review contractors' construction plans, manpower deployment, equipment, and resource requirements.
• Verify availability of approved drawings, materials, permits, and site access before work starts.
• Conduct regular site inspections and enforce HSE requirements and safe work practices.
• Participate in toolbox talks, coordination meetings, progress reviews, constructability reviews, and risk assessments.
• Track contractor productivity and recommend performance improvements.
• Manage interfaces between civil, structural, mechanical, piping, E&I, and other disciplines.
• Resolve site construction issues in collaboration with engineering and stakeholders.
• Support QA/QC implementation, NCR resolution, punch‑list clearance, and technical queries.
• Oversee system/sub‑system completion and handover to pre‑commissioning and commissioning teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising construction activities on large‑scale projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
• Ability to coordinate multiple disciplines and manage contractor performance.
