Construction Superintendent - Shutdown

About the role

Wood is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead a high‑profile shutdown project in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will oversee all on‑site activities, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise all on‑site construction activities during the shutdown phase.
• Maintain project schedules, monitor progress, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Manage budgets, control costs, and ensure financial targets are met.
• Enforce quality assurance and safety compliance throughout the site.
• Liaise with the client, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless communication.
• Prepare and present regular status reports to senior management.

Required profile

• Proven track record as a Superintendent on large‑scale construction or shutdown projects.
• Strong understanding of oil and gas upstream or midstream environments.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and a results‑oriented mindset.
