Construction Superintendent – Structure

About the role

Penspen is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent (Structure) to lead offshore structural works on major onshore oil & gas projects in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures safe, efficient execution of steel, foundation and concrete construction in line with project specifications and HSE standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise offshore structural construction activities, including steel structures, foundations and concrete works.
• Ensure work complies with approved drawings, specifications and project schedules.
• Coordinate with contractors and multidisciplinary teams to achieve safe and timely execution.
• Monitor quality, productivity and adherence to HSE standards.
• Conduct site inspections and resolve technical construction issues.
• Support construction planning, risk assessments and work method statements.
• Oversee proper documentation and handover of completed structural works.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
• 15–18+ years of total experience, including 3–5 years in offshore structural construction within the oil & gas industry.
• PMC/EPC construction experience preferred.
• Familiarity with international structural codes and HSE standards.
• Previous ADNOC on‑shore experience is an advantage.
