Consultant Anaesthetist

About the role

The Consultant Anaesthetist will deliver patient‑centred, evidence‑based anaesthetic care at Mediclinic Parkview Hospital in Dubai. This senior clinical role requires adherence to ethical standards and regulatory guidelines while supporting the development of junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, patient‑centric clinical services at consultant level.
• Monitor and manage clinical risks associated with direct patient care.
• Ensure compliance with clinical governance, quality management standards and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date medical records.
• Support continuous professional development of self and junior colleagues.

Required profile

• Basic medical degree and recognised higher education programme (fellowship/diploma) approved by UAE healthcare authority.
• Certification and registration in a medical speciality recognised in the UAE.
• Active life‑support certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS, NRP).
• Minimum 3‑5 years post‑qualification experience at consultant level, with at least 1 year in a Tier 1 country preferred.
• Fluent verbal and written English; Arabic is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in using an electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Knowledge of clinical audit standards and processes.
