Consultant ENT Surgeon – Abu Dhabi

About the role

The Consultant Otolaryngology will deliver expert diagnosis, medical treatment, and surgical management for ear, nose, throat, head, and neck conditions across adult and pediatric populations. This role supports SEHA’s mission to provide high‑quality, safe patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage ENT disorders such as hearing loss, sinusitis, nasal obstruction, tonsillitis, sleep apnea, vertigo, voice disorders, and head‑and‑neck tumors.
• Perform outpatient assessments and surgical procedures including endoscopic sinus surgery, tonsillectomy, tympanoplasty, septoplasty, neck dissection, and microlaryngoscopy.
• Lead operative and peri‑operative care, ensuring optimal recovery and handling complications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (audiology, speech therapy, oncology, pediatrics, internal medicine) for comprehensive patient management.
• Supervise junior doctors, residents, and surgical staff; contribute to training and continuing education.
• Document clinical notes, surgical procedures, and follow‑up plans using SEHA’s electronic health record system.
• Participate in clinical audits, research, morbidity‑mortality reviews, and quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Adhere to SEHA and DOH standards for infection control, patient safety, ethics, and informed consent.

Required profile

• Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
• Residency in Otolaryngology / Head & Neck Surgery.
• Board Certification in ENT/Otolaryngology (American Board, FRCS, Arab Board, or equivalent).
• Valid DOH Consultant License in Otolaryngology or eligibility to obtain it.
• Minimum 5 years post‑certification experience as a Consultant ENT Surgeon, preferably with adult and pediatric exposure.
