Consultant General Surgeon (Female, Arabic Speaker)

About the role

A prestigious healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi is looking for a female Consultant General Surgeon who is fluent in Arabic. The role involves delivering high‑quality surgical care within a multicultural, multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Perform a broad range of elective and emergency general surgical procedures.
• Evaluate patients, diagnose conditions, and develop comprehensive treatment plans.
• Lead pre‑operative and post‑operative care in collaboration with nursing and allied health professionals.
• Participate in surgical audits, quality‑improvement programmes and clinical governance.
• Mentor junior surgeons and contribute to CME initiatives.
• Maintain accurate medical records in line with Abu Dhabi Department of Health standards.

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent with completed specialty training in General Surgery.
• Board certification (UK CCT, US Board, Arab Board or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years post‑specialty experience, including consultant‑level responsibility.
• Fluency in Arabic and English.
• Eligible for a DOH Consultant licence.
• Strong surgical judgment, leadership and communication skills.
• Experience in women’s health surgical needs is an advantage.
