Consultant – Pediatric Neuro‑Oncology (Western Qualified)

About the role

We are seeking a Western‑trained Consultant in Pediatric Neuro‑Oncology to join a leading tertiary healthcare institution in the Gulf region. The role involves delivering specialised, multidisciplinary care for children with central nervous system tumours in a high‑volume, subspecialty‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive diagnostic, therapeutic and long‑term management for paediatric neuro‑oncology patients.
• Lead and participate in multidisciplinary tumour boards with neurosurgery, radiation oncology, neuroradiology and pathology.
• Develop and implement evidence‑based treatment protocols aligned with international standards (COG, SIOP).
• Manage chemotherapy regimens, targeted therapies and coordinate clinical‑trial participation.
• Collaborate closely with paediatric neurosurgeons and PICU teams for peri‑operative care.
• Contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement and patient‑safety initiatives.
• Participate in teaching, mentoring, academic activities and research.

Required profile

• Western board certification (American Board, Canadian RCPSC, UK CCT or equivalent).
• Subspecialty fellowship in paediatric neuro‑oncology.
• Minimum 3–5 years post‑board experience at consultant level in high‑complexity paediatric oncology or neuro‑oncology centres.
• Strong exposure to multidisciplinary tumour management and clinical protocols.
• Fluency in English (Arabic advantageous but not mandatory).
