About the role

SSMC is seeking a compassionate Consultant Physician specialized in Neurosurgery to join its medical team in Abu Dhabi. The role involves delivering high‑quality primary and specialist care to patients with injuries, illnesses, and neurological conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Examine patients, take detailed medical histories, and address their concerns.
• Diagnose and treat injuries, illnesses, and neurological disorders.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests, communicating results clearly to patients.
• Develop and recommend personalized treatment plans, including medication and therapy prescriptions.
• Provide counseling on diet, hygiene, preventive health, and lifestyle modifications.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date patient records.
• Explain medical procedures and treatment options to patients and families.
• Collaborate with other physicians, refer to specialists when needed, and work closely with nursing and support staff.
• Ensure compliance with medical regulations and patient privacy laws.

Required profile

• Medical degree with successful completion of residency and internship.
• Valid state license and certification to practice medicine.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of illnesses.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, leadership, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Detail‑oriented, patient‑focused, and compassionate demeanor.
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with medical advancements.
