Consultant / Specialist Gastroenterologist – Dubai

About the role

A leading multispecialty hospital in Dubai is expanding its Gastroenterology and Digestive Health services. The hospital seeks a qualified Consultant / Specialist Gastroenterologist to join a multidisciplinary team and deliver comprehensive care for complex gastrointestinal conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders, including acid reflux, peptic ulcer disease, IBS, IBD, and infections.
• Evaluate and treat liver conditions such as hepatitis, fatty liver disease, and cirrhosis.
• Perform and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy.
• Manage gastrointestinal bleeding and complex digestive disorders requiring specialised evaluation.
• Provide colorectal cancer screening and preventive care for other gastrointestinal diseases.
• Diagnose and manage pancreatic and biliary tract disorders.
• Collaborate with surgeons, hepatologists, oncologists, and radiologists for multidisciplinary patient management.
• Develop individualised treatment plans and long‑term disease management strategies for chronic conditions.

Required profile

• Board‑certified or specialist qualification in Gastroenterology.
• Minimum of 3 years post‑specialist or board certification experience.
• Experience in both outpatient clinics and inpatient consultations, with a strong focus on endoscopic procedures.
• Ability to work in a modern hospital environment equipped with advanced diagnostic facilities.
