Contracts Specialist – Procurement

About the role

The Contract Specialist reports to the Associate Vice President – Indirect Procurement and is responsible for drafting, reviewing and amending a wide range of procurement contracts and related documentation. The role ensures contracts meet legal, policy and governance standards while supporting operational execution across indirect procurement activities.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and finalise contracts, memoranda of understanding, heads of terms, ensuring appropriate risk allocation and protection of commercial, legal and reputational interests.
• Maintain alignment of contractual documents with internal governance standards, regulatory requirements and legal risk management practices.
• Coordinate with Legal and Compliance teams on complex or escalated matters and present key legal and risk topics to the business.
• Track and maintain a central repository of executed contracts, proactively flagging expiry or renewal timelines.
• Assist in resolving contract‑related disputes and provide regular reports on contract cycle status, outstanding reviews and risk areas.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in law, Business Administration or a related field (preferred).
• 1‑3 years experience in contract drafting, reviewing and governance, preferably within procurement or shared services.
• High professional ethics, sound judgement and strong analytical ability.
• Fluent spoken and written English; Arabic proficiency desirable but not essential.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office, especially PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of UAE contracting practices, including ADGM and on‑shore legal frameworks.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
