Control Support Engineer

About the role

The Control Support Engineer will assist customers in installing, configuring and programming Extron A/V control products, ensuring seamless integration with a variety of AV devices and third‑party equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for Extron AV control systems, including configuration, troubleshooting, and guidance on system setup.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to control software, hardware communication (RS232, TCP/IP) and third‑party device integration.
• Escalate complex cases, give feedback to engineering and product teams, and suggest product improvements based on field experience.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows OS, SQL databases and networking concepts (TCP/IP, Ethernet, IP addressing, NAT, routers).
• Proficiency in Python 3 programming and familiarity with Visual Studio Code.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field and 3‑4 years of AV system integration and control experience.
