Cost Accountant Intern – Full‑Time Finance Role

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Cost Accountant Intern to join our finance team on a full‑time, on‑site basis. You will support senior accountants in managing cost data, preparing reports, and assisting with budgeting and month‑end close activities. This position offers a solid foundation for a career in cost accounting and financial management.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and maintaining accurate cost records and reports.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing processes alongside senior accountants.
• Reconcile inventory counts with financial records to ensure data accuracy.
• Analyze actual versus budgeted costs and report variances.
• Help prepare budgets and forecasts as required.
• Collaborate with procurement to monitor purchase‑order variances.
• Review and process cost reports from departments and vendors.
• Develop and maintain standard cost methodologies and procedures.
• Conduct periodic audits of cost‑related activities.
• Assist in preparing financial statements and managerial reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong analytical mindset with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills for clear financial reporting.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software systems.
