Cover Supervisor – Immediate Start

About the role

Sunmarke School is seeking a proactive Cover Supervisor to join its teaching team immediately. The role involves stepping into classrooms across the school to ensure continuity of learning when regular teachers are absent.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lesson plans and maintain the curriculum schedule set by the class teacher.
• Manage classroom behaviour and create a safe, supportive learning environment.
• Provide clear instructions, monitor student progress and give feedback.
• Adapt teaching resources to suit diverse learner needs.
• Communicate any concerns or observations to the subject teacher and senior staff.

Required profile

• Relevant teaching qualification or equivalent experience in an educational setting.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage students of various ages.
• Flexibility to cover multiple subjects and year groups.
• Commitment to the school’s Positive Education ethos.
