Custody Operations Manager

About the role

The Custody Operations Manager will lead the day‑to‑day activities of Liminal Custody’s institutional digital‑asset custody platform. The role ensures secure, efficient and compliant execution of digital‑asset transactions while managing operational risk and delivering high‑quality service to institutional clients.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily custody operations including deposits, withdrawals, wallet administration, settlements, staking and reconciliations.
• Execute client instructions on time, adhering to internal controls and operational procedures.
• Monitor transaction queues to meet defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Handle escalations and resolve complex transaction issues.
• Perform timely reconciliation and proof‑of‑reserves to maintain accurate accounting of client assets and liabilities.
• Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures, runbooks and training materials.
• Test and validate backup and recovery keys to ensure operational resilience.
• Collaborate with compliance to streamline Know Your Business (KYB) onboarding processes.
• Work with internal auditors to ensure data adherence to policies and regulatory standards.
• Document and obtain approvals for all key‑management activities.
• Prepare periodic MIS reports for management review.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field.
• 4–7 years of experience in financial management, preferably within financial services.
• Current role at team‑lead or deputy‑manager level.
• Experience with reconciliation, trade processing, financial planning, budgeting and reporting.
• Understanding of digital assets and blockchain technology.
• Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements.
