Customer Due Diligence Operations Specialist (KYB)

About the role

The Compliance team at OKX drives the company’s risk‑aware culture, advising the business on regulatory obligations and enterprise risk. This role focuses on reviewing and processing customer onboarding cases under KYB policies.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive reviews of incoming customer onboarding cases to ensure KYB principles align with company policy and risk assessment.
• Validate KYB documents using internal tools and reputable external sources to verify AML documentation.
• Request and obtain required CDD/EDD documentation from customers, maintaining compliance with AML policies.
• Follow up on pending CDD/EDD requests, ensuring communications meet defined service level agreements.
• Investigate matches from screening applications against sanctions, PEPs, and adverse media, and take appropriate actions.
• Provide management with information on AML/CDD issues and support continuous improvement of the CDD function.
• Manage ad‑hoc projects related to compliance and customer due diligence.

Required profile

• Higher diploma, degree or higher education qualification.
• At least two years of experience in AML, CDD/EDD review or KYC related work.
• Strong team player with excellent communication and writing skills.
• Fluent spoken and written English with strong attention to detail.
