Cybersecurity Engineer – Financial Services

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Engineer to protect a leading financial services organization in Dubai. You will design, implement and maintain robust security solutions while working closely with infrastructure, cloud and application teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain enterprise cybersecurity solutions.
• Monitor security events and respond to incidents promptly.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
• Manage firewalls, endpoint protection, SIEM and identity management solutions.
• Develop and enforce security policies, standards and procedures.
• Perform security risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Support compliance with regulatory and information‑security standards.
• Investigate security incidents and carry out root‑cause analysis.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud and application teams to strengthen the overall security posture.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in information security or cybersecurity engineering.
• Hands‑on experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, firewalls and endpoint security solutions.
• Strong understanding of network security, cloud security and identity & access management.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS or Google Cloud security services.
• Knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls or PCI‑DSS.
• Professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, Security+, CISM, CCSP) are highly preferred.
• Experience with vulnerability management and incident response.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, highly regulated environment.
