Dance Teacher – Full-time

About the role

GEMS Education is seeking a passionate Dance Teacher to join its School of Research and Innovation. The role involves delivering an innovative, research‑informed dance curriculum that nurtures technical proficiency, creativity and performance artistry for students from Pre‑Prep to Sixth Form.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging dance lessons that integrate inquiry‑based learning and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Utilise specialist resources, state‑of‑the‑art facilities and industry partnerships to enhance student learning.
• Develop choreography projects that reflect diverse dance forms and encourage artistic expression.
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback and support pathways to further study or careers in the performing arts.
• Contribute to the school’s broader educational initiatives, including integration of emerging technologies such as AI, VR/AR and robotics where relevant.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience teaching dance to primary and secondary students.
• Strong ability to foster confidence, resilience and a love for the arts in young learners.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and research‑informed practice.
