Data Analytics Officer

About the role

The Data Analytics Officer will support data analytics, business intelligence, digitalisation and process automation within the Technical department of an aviation organisation in Abu Dhabi. The role creates reliable dashboards, automates reports, improves data quality and turns operational data into actionable insights for decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance BI reports and automated dashboards using Maintenance Information System, OPS BI, EDP and other operational data platforms.
• Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to secure data access, clarify data definitions and ensure data sets are accurate and fit for purpose.
• Monitor data flows, validate connections and resolve data‑quality issues by identifying root causes and coordinating corrective actions.
• Identify, assess and prioritize opportunities to digitise manual workflows and automate recurring technical processes.
• Lead digital and analytics initiatives from requirements gathering and solution design through testing, deployment, handover and continuous improvement.
• Define project scope, timelines, resource needs, success measures and delivery plans in partnership with technical, IT and business teams.
• Evaluate and recommend tools, platforms and technologies that enhance efficiency, visibility and data‑driven decision‑making.
• Promote data literacy, training and adoption across the department.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering or a related analytical discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a complex analytical, business‑intelligence or reporting environment; aviation experience preferred.
• Hands‑on experience with data analytics, dashboard development, data modelling and ETL principles.
• Familiarity with aviation maintenance systems and operational data platforms such as OPS BI and EDP is highly desirable.
