DC Operations Manager

About the role

The DC Operations Manager is accountable for the end‑to‑end operation of a data centre in Abu Dhabi, ensuring that all technical systems run smoothly and that internal and external customers receive reliable support.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, supervise and attend major electrical system maintenance (UPS, switchgear, generators), including night and holiday shifts.
• Present data‑centre processes, policies and operational procedures to customers.
• Lead installation projects, coordinate vendor deliveries and monitor implementation against schedules.
• Prepare, review and approve Method of Procedure (MOP), Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and Emergency Operating Procedure (EOP) documents.
• Manage preventive maintenance (PM) through CAFM, identify risks, impacts and mitigation plans, and communicate schedules to customers.
• Maintain spare‑parts, PPE and tool inventories for planned maintenance.
• Execute preventive maintenance (PPM) and quality checklists for yearly and 3‑month cycles.
• Monitor HSE compliance, schedule and track equipment calibration, and update calibration logs.
• Conduct predictive maintenance (PdM), evaluate asset condition and maintain PdM logs.
• Investigate incidents, perform root‑cause analysis, liaise with vendors for rectification and record outcomes.
• Produce capacity‑management, power consumption and monthly performance reports.
• Enforce access control procedures and deliver QHSE and toolbox training to staff.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years (120 months) of experience in data‑centre operations or related infrastructure management.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, UPS, generators and switchgear.
• Proven project‑management and vendor‑management capabilities.
• Ability to work night shifts and public holidays as required.
• Excellent communication skills for customer interaction and reporting.
