Demi Chef de Partie – Courtyard by Marriott Abu Dhabi

About the role

The Demi Chef de Partie will join the culinary team at Courtyard by Marriott World Trade Center Abu Dhabi, preparing a range of dishes while supporting the Chef in daily operations. This role focuses on maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation in a fast‑paced hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare special meals, substitute items and cold foods according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Regulate temperatures of ovens, broilers, grills and roasters, and manage thawing of frozen items.
• Ensure proper portioning, arrangement and garnish of dishes, and maintain food logs.
• Monitor food quality and quantity, communicate needs during busy periods, and inform the Chef of excess items for daily specials.
• Notify service staff of menu specials, out‑of‑stock items and uphold food safety policies.
• Assist with hiring, training, scheduling and coaching of kitchen staff as required.
• Follow all company safety, security and uniform standards, reporting any hazards or incidents.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school qualification in culinary arts or related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant food preparation experience.
• No prior supervisory experience required.
