Demi Chef de Partie – Culinary Team

About the role

The Demi Chef de Partie will join the culinary team at Aloft Abu Dhabi, supporting the preparation and execution of high‑quality dishes in a fast‑paced hotel environment. You will work closely with senior chefs to ensure consistency, safety, and guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare special meals, cold dishes and substitute items according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Regulate oven, broiler, grill and roaster temperatures; manage thawing and storage processes.
• Maintain portion control, food garnish, and arrangement; keep accurate food logs.
• Monitor food quality and quantity, inform chefs of excess items for daily specials, and communicate menu updates to service staff.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling and employee coaching as needed.
• Follow all safety, security and company policies; report maintenance issues, accidents or unsafe conditions.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school qualification in culinary arts or related field.
• Minimum three (3) years of relevant food‑preparation experience in a hotel or restaurant setting.
• No prior supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lb and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
