Demi Chef de Partie – Pastry (Full‑time)

About the role

The Sheraton Hotels & Resorts in Dubai is seeking a motivated Demi Chef de Partie – Pastry to join its Food & Beverage team. You will work in a fast‑paced kitchen environment, preparing high‑quality pastry items and supporting the head chef in daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare special meals, substitute items and cold foods according to recipes and quality standards.
• Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills and roasters, and monitor food preparation checklists.
• Pull frozen items for thawing, ensure proper portioning, arrangement and garnish of dishes.
• Maintain accurate food logs and communicate excess items for daily specials.
• Inform service staff of menu specials, out‑of‑stock items and assist during busy periods.
• Follow all safety, security and hygiene policies, report incidents and complete required certifications.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years (36 months) of experience in a pastry or culinary environment.
• Ability to work on‑site for extended periods, lift up to 25 lb, and perform physical tasks such as bending and reaching.
• Professional appearance, confidentiality and a commitment to teamwork.

Required skills

• Regulation of oven, broiler, grill and roaster temperatures.
• Preparation of cold foods and special meals.
• Food‑log maintenance and adherence to quality and presentation standards.
• Use of food preparation checklists and portion‑arrangement techniques.
