Design Engineer – Fire Protection Systems

About the role

We are looking for a technically skilled Design Engineer to create fire protection solutions for commercial, industrial and residential projects. You will work within a collaborative team, ensuring designs meet client expectations and comply with local and international fire safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Produce detailed fire protection system designs, including layout drawings, specifications and hydraulic calculations for sprinklers, alarms, suppression systems and hydrants.
• Interpret client requirements, building codes and standards (NFPA, BS, EN) to develop compliant, cost‑effective solutions.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects and contractors throughout the design and project lifecycle.
• Prepare and review technical documentation such as design reports, datasheets, bills of material and compliance submissions for authority approvals.
• Support project managers and installation teams during procurement, construction and commissioning phases.
• Conduct technical reviews, risk assessments and site visits to resolve queries and verify installation quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in fire protection system design.
• Strong knowledge of fire safety codes and standards (NFPA, British Standards, local regulations).
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
