Design Engineer – UAE National

About the role

Jacobs is seeking a Design Engineer to join its rail practice in Dubai. You will be involved in the full project life‑cycle, from concept through to construction, working with a diverse team dedicated to delivering rail solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in planning, design and implementation of rail projects.
• Develop concepts, produce detailed designs and perform engineering calculations.
• Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and local regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, electrical engineers and construction teams.
• Prepare and maintain design documentation, reports and technical specifications.

Required profile

• UAE national holding an accredited Bachelor’s degree from a recognised institution.
• Proven experience using BIM or other computer‑aided design tools to create accurate drawings and schematics.
• Experience preparing design documentation and technical specifications for internal and external stakeholders.
• Creative, self‑motivated and able to thrive in a dynamic, changing environment.
