Design Manager – Interior Fit‑Out

About the role

Mohamed Hilal Group is seeking a highly creative and technically proficient Design Manager to lead its Interior Fit‑Out division. The role oversees the entire design lifecycle—from concept development and 3D visualisation to detailed production drawings—ensuring projects are innovative, functional, commercially viable and delivered to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the design team across multiple fit‑out projects simultaneously.
• Develop and enforce design standards, processes and best practices.
• Mentor designers, fostering creativity and professional growth.
• Create innovative design concepts, mood boards, material selections and client presentations.
• Oversee high‑quality 3D models, renderings and visual presentations.
• Review and approve all design deliverables before client submission.
• Manage preparation and review of technical, shop and production drawings, ensuring compliance with specifications and regulations.
• Coordinate closely with production, site teams and contractors to guarantee design feasibility.
• Collaborate with project managers, estimators and procurement throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor timelines, support value‑engineering initiatives and maintain design integrity.
• Ensure all outputs meet company quality standards and stay informed of industry trends.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture or a related discipline.
• 8–10 years of experience in interior fit‑out design, with at least 3 years in a design‑management role.
• Proven ability to translate client briefs into practical, creative solutions.
• Strong knowledge of local regulations and manufacturing requirements.
• Demonstrated leadership and team‑development skills.
