Design Manager

About the role

The Design Manager will lead the full design lifecycle, from concept through tender and construction, ensuring every project meets the company’s brand, quality standards, and strategic objectives. This role blends creative vision, technical expertise, commercial insight, and stakeholder coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design team to develop concepts, detailed designs, and construction documents while maintaining brand consistency.
• Collaborate with development, construction, and marketing teams to integrate requirements and adapt designs to evolving project needs.
• Review, approve, and monitor design deliverables, ensuring they meet expectations and regulatory standards.
• Facilitate design coordination meetings, workshops, and review sessions with consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
• Manage external consultants, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless communication and design integrity.
• Provide on‑site design leadership, conducting technical reviews, inspections, and resolving design‑related queries.
• Implement quality control processes, conduct site visits, and drive sustainable digital design practices such as BIM and lifecycle tracking.
• Work with Cost Control and Planning to align design solutions with budget and schedule constraints, leading value‑engineering reviews.
• Prepare design briefs and RFPs, evaluate consultant proposals, and support tender and commercial activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary design teams on construction or development projects.
• Strong ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders and manage design‑related risks.
• Solid understanding of building regulations, codes, and safety standards.
• Experience delivering designs within budget and schedule constraints.
• Familiarity with sustainable design practices and digital workflows.
