Design Manager

About the role

As a Design Manager at Gensler in Dubai, you will lead multidisciplinary design teams to deliver high‑quality architecture and interior projects. You will be responsible for ensuring client satisfaction, maintaining quality standards, and achieving financial targets while coordinating all project phases from concept through completion.

Key responsibilities

• Lead one or more client projects, overseeing design development, scheduling, budgeting and staffing.
• Act as primary liaison between the client, design team, sub‑contractors and vendors.
• Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts and fees, and drive business growth for base‑building and interior projects.
• Monitor project budgets, profitability, billing and collections in line with Gensler policies.
• Foster a collaborative team environment, provide mentorship, and uphold Gensler’s sustainability commitments on every project.
• Represent Gensler in professional organisations and maintain relationships with current and potential clients.

Required profile

• Proven track record of managing all phases of architecture or interior design projects.
• Strong client‑facing skills with a focus on satisfaction, quality control and financial performance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and ability to lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to sustainability and ability to integrate sustainable targets into project delivery.
