Design Technology Teacher (A Level) – August Start

About the role

GEMS Wellington International School is looking for a passionate Design Technology Teacher to join its faculty in August 2026. The successful candidate will deliver A‑Level Design Technology to secondary students, fostering creativity, problem‑solving and a growth mindset within an inclusive, high‑performing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess the A‑Level Design Technology curriculum in line with school standards.
• Develop engaging, project‑based learning experiences that integrate modern design tools and techniques.
• Provide constructive feedback and support to students to enhance their technical and creative skills.
• Collaborate with colleagues, senior leadership and external partners to enrich the learning community.
• Contribute to the school’s continuous improvement initiatives and uphold its values of integrity, empathy and fortitude.

Required profile

• Hold a BEd or Bachelor’s degree with a PGCE, PGDE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Demonstrated experience teaching Secondary A‑Level Design Technology.
• Commitment to embodying the school’s core values and to ongoing professional development.
• Willingness to collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders.
