Digital Architect

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Digital Architect to lead the design and implementation of cloud-native digital banking solutions. The role will shape the technology strategy, ensuring scalable, secure and high-performing platforms for web, mobile and omnichannel experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Design end-to-end cloud-native, microservices and digital banking architectures.
• Define solutions using SOA, Open APIs, event-driven and serverless patterns.
• Lead architecture for web, mobile, omnichannel and customer-facing platforms.
• Establish and govern API, integration, technology and architecture standards.
• Evaluate cloud technologies and digital platforms, driving road-maps and technical innovation.
• Ensure scalability, performance, security, disaster recovery and observability.
• Collaborate with business owners, engineering teams, vendors and senior stakeholders.
• Drive proof-of-concepts and address technical debt.

Required profile

• 10–12 years of experience in banking or digital banking domains.
• Strong background in cloud architecture (AWS and/or Azure) and microservices design.
• Proven experience delivering large-scale, cloud-native solutions.
• Solid understanding of DevOps, Agile practices and enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF).

• Microservices & cloud-native design, SOA, Open APIs.
• Java, Spring Boot (Quarkus a plus).
• Kubernetes, AWS EKS, Service Mesh.
• REST, gRPC, Protocol Buffers, Pub/Sub, Message Queues.
• OAuth2, SAML, Identity Provider integrations, API security.
• Observability, monitoring, logging, distributed tracing.
• DevOps tools and practices.
