Director of Academic Excellence (Remote)

About the role

2 Hour Learning is looking for a senior academic leader to shape and operationalize its evidence‑based learning model. This remote position will guide the translation of learning‑science research into concrete curriculum, motivation, and technology frameworks that enable students to learn at double speed.

Key responsibilities

• Design academic frameworks that turn learning‑science principles into actionable guidance for curriculum design, motivation architecture, and application development.
• Conduct execution reviews with Heads of Academics to ensure alignment, accountability, and high performance across school sites.
• Integrate data, stakeholder interviews, and direct observations into ecosystem assessments that pinpoint obstacles and recommend targeted interventions.
• Maintain strategic coherence through planning cycles, feedback mechanisms, and milestone management focused on learning outcomes.
• Serve as the primary external representative, delivering keynote presentations and engaging with ministries of education worldwide.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in academic leadership or EdTech, with a proven record of measurable impact.
• Demonstrated ability to lead elite teams, communicate publicly, and drive systemic educational transformation.
