Director of Loss Prevention

About the role

The Director of Loss Prevention leads security and loss‑prevention operations for a Marriott property in Dubai. The role ensures the safety of guests, employees, and assets while supporting the financial performance of the department.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement emergency and safety procedures.
• Investigate property losses and coordinate disposition with management.
• Deploy and supervise security staff to monitor and protect assets.
• Conduct regular patrols of the property and parking areas.
• Maintain logs, certifications, and required documentation in compliance with law and SOPs.
• Identify hazards, recommend corrective actions, and implement risk‑control plans.
• Handle complaints, resolve disputes, and negotiate resolutions.
• Lead weekly meetings, communicate safety codes, and recognize team achievements.
• Coach, mentor, and evaluate team members, setting performance standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 4 years of security/loss‑prevention experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Criminal Justice (or related field) with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Proven ability to manage security operations and lead a team.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and emergency response.
