Director - Prediction and Data

About the role

Ezra Box is looking for an experienced leader to head its Prediction and Data function within the Dubai fintech team. The role blends strategic leadership with deep technical expertise in predictive analytics for micro‑credit and lending, guiding a cross‑functional team from raw data to production‑ready models that drive financial inclusion.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Risk, Product and Commercial teams to translate alternative data and modelling outputs into market rules, portfolio strategies, limit‑setting frameworks and profitability levers.
• Improve collections performance, reduce credit losses and enhance customer lifecycle value across product lines such as Airtime Credit, Nano, Overdraft, Line of Credit, Instalment and BNPL.
• Standardise scoring pipelines, feature stores, model governance and real‑time data flows to support rapid expansion into new markets and products.
• Maintain a champion/challenger framework to test and fine‑tune revenue and risk optimisation opportunities.
• Design, build and maintain scalable machine‑learning systems, data pipelines and APIs for credit decisioning, and optimise internal codebases for model training and scoring.

Required profile

• 12+ months of experience (144 months) leading data science and data engineering teams, preferably in fintech, credit scoring or mobile‑money environments.
• Strong foundation in software engineering, machine learning and modern data platforms.
• Strategic thinker capable of delivering production‑ready systems while collaborating closely with business stakeholders.
